Sea Scan Maritime Foundation (SSMF) was established by Capt. Virendra J Mehta in Mumbai in 1999 and later shifted its training courses to Goa in 2000. Our state-of-the-art campus has lush green surroundings and well-designed interiors to support our students’ learning and training environment. Our 99% passing percentage record in all India Board Exams over a decade speaks for us.

My journey at Sea Scan was life-changing. When we came here, we had the mindset of teens, not very serious in most aspects but we all had the same dream- to work in this Industry. The faculties and instructors trained us and they were very experienced. They motivated and disciplined us to strive for our dreams. I entered as a teen but left being a proud and mature seafarer.
I was very sceptical about becoming a seafarer, but somewhere between all thoughts, perfect guidance is what makes one confident and here at Sea Scan Maritime Academy, I gained it. The training sessions were difficult but so was the real life of seafarers. The professionals who taught us and our professors were very supportive and motivating. It was a memorable experience not only in terms of education but lifetime skills of survival packed with time management and merchant navy.
